A Knitted Skirt

Finished, just in time for the arrival of winter!
My nice and warm little skirt!

It's rib-knitted in a medium weight yarn which gives it
a simple and casual style that is easy to dress up.

The yarn is the wonderful warm and soft Lima from Rowan.
A dream in baby alpaca and merino wool!

It will be another skirt

This yarn was intended to be a wrap skirt. But during the work and despite the changes I made, I was disappointed with the result.
So I unraveled it. And it feels good!
This lovely highland wool from Peru will be something else.

But I want a warm knitted skirt so
now I'm making this one.

Stylish Cardigan

I have quite a lot of magazines and books about knitting
and other needlework.
To spend an hour or two in my 'library' is one of my pleasures.
I've been thinking about knitting this cardigan a long time now.
You find it in Rowan Knitting Magazine Number 28.
It's so stylish in its simplicity!

Kid Classic, in lambswool and kid mohair.
A wonderfully soft luxury!

I've chosen the shade Earth 872.

Snood

I both want and need a snood
that is warm, soft and light, has an elegant touch
and that is quick and easy to knit!

This design is from the knitting book Cherished by Kim Hargreaves.

The yarn used in the pattern is Kidsilk Aura from Rowan.
I knit it in Kidsilk Haze using two strands.
The shade is no.633.
