In Shiny Gray

A design that in its simplicity is both stylish and functional.
It appeals to both me and my friend who loves shawls.

You find this design in the book

A shiny yarn, nicer than we had imagined!

Shiny easy knitting!

A Skirt for Winter

My plan was a skirt for fall but it didn't turn out that way.
I used another yarn than in the pattern and it was a nice yarn.
But when the skirt was almost finished I realised that
I didn't like the hem. I unraveled the skirt!
Then I bought the yarn used in the pattern. I knitted samples to find out which kind of hem I would like.

Then I noticed that I needed to buy a circular needle and I had to go Stockholm to get the right one.
But now I've started to knit the wrap skirt again.

The hem is simple and worked in garter stitch.
So far it looks good!

Stripes & A Scalloped Edge

The scalloped edge and the stripes make this shawl a favorite.
This one is for a friend.

I'm going to make one for myself as well but in another color combination and the yarn is already purchased.

Scalloped Shawl knitted in Malabrigo Sock.

Powerful Color Combination

The warm earth colors make the scarf
both colorful and powerful.

My friend is a colorful woman.
This scarf will suit her perfectly!

Scalloped Shawl

I really like shawls with scalloped edges.
For me they give a softer impression.

This versatile shawl is Scalloped Shawl. It looks good from both sides and you can make it in one color as well as two.
Designer is Breean E Miller and you find the pattern on Ravely and in Malabrigo's book 3.

This color combination is for a friend.
The yarn is Malabrigo Sock and I have ordered it from Loop in London. These lovely earth colors are 802 terracota and 810 cordovan.
